Strategic Commissioning Consultant Opportunity

Sellick Partnership is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Commissioning Consultant to join our team and support our Public Sector client in developing a Commissioning Delivery Plan that focuses on policy and practice to reduce third-party spend.

The successful candidate will lead on the development, implementation, and management of the Adults' Service Commissioning Delivery Plan, working closely with commissioning partners to identify areas for joint commissioning opportunities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Create a Commissioning Board to set commissioning priorities and oversee current workstreams.
  • Establish regular commissioning meetings with commissioning partners to identify areas for joint commissioning opportunities.
  • Develop a care home framework/DPS and work with care providers to refresh Market Position Statements.
  • Review approach to market management and fee uplifts, considering the formation of a provider forum(s) and/or other means of structured and regular communication with the social care market.
  • Support the Commissioning service redesign that builds capacity and capability across the organization.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have experience in commissioning and a strong understanding of the Public Sector's commissioning processes. Excellent communication and project management skills are essential for this role.
