Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the commissioning of UPS projects, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
  • Conduct site testing and commissioning of UPS systems, including SAT, IST, and customer acceptance testing.
  • Manage system/site-specific documentation, equipment parameters, I/O function setup, and system configurations.
  • Compile technical reports and testing procedures for presentation to clients.
  • Foster collaboration with Vertiv's central technical support and R&D teams to provide real-time product feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Cooperate with local delivery organizations to organize and manage field site visits, resolving issues of commercial importance.
  • Contribute to generating preliminary and final Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports for critical events or key accounts.
Requirements:
  • HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • 10+ years in the Electrical/Electronic Industry.
  • 5+ years in a UPS field operations or customer interfacing role.
  • Excellent communication and technical skills, with the ability to read electrical circuit diagrams effectively.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, cooperation, courtesy, and assertiveness in stakeholder interactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work activities.
  • Strong self-motivation and a results-driven approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal English language skills.
  • Holding a full, clean UK driving license.
Physical and Environmental Demands:
  • Proficiency in operating Vertiv product ranges.
  • Travel required in the UK and overseas, with varying durations away from home.
  • Maintenance of UPS under contract and attendance at breakdowns and repairs if necessary.
  • Identification of potential opportunities for equipment sales, maintenance contracts, and replacement UPS, batteries, and capacitors.
