Job Description

KO2's client, a leader in scientific product development, is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join their expanding team in Edinburgh. This role offers the chance to work on advanced electronics for scientific detectors, focusing on high-speed current detection, developing cutting-edge detectors, and sourcing optimized components for high-performance systems.

This unique opportunity allows you to be at the forefront of innovation in scientific electronics. With new R&D projects in the pipeline, you will have the chance to drive new product development and contribute to the design and optimization of detector systems.

  • You will work on analogue and digital electronics, driving new product development.
  • You will contribute to the design and optimization of detector systems to ensure maximum speed and reliability.
  • You will collaborate on PCB design using Altium, and work within a team of four dedicated electronics engineers.

For this position, we are looking for a candidate with minimum 1-2 years' experience as an electronics engineer. Broad experience in electronics design; FPGA and VHDL knowledge is a plus. Familiarity with embedded C and embedded software would be beneficial but is not essential.

This is a full-time, onsite role based in Edinburgh, offering a competitive salary of £50,000 for a 37.5-hour work week.
