Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Site Manager to join our team at DBR Limited, a specialist conservation company dealing with the cleaning and repair of historic fabric and the regeneration of historic buildings.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an entry-level candidate from the Oxford area, ideally with a relevant undergraduate education or vocational experience. The role commences at the beginning of January 2025 on a two-year conservation project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for site recording, quality control, submission of RFIs, CVIs, PMIs, and AIs, gathering information for valuing works, health and safety management, maintenance of site plant registers, daily briefings, and regular toolbox talks.

Responsibilities:

  • Site Management: Oversee site activities, ensure proper execution of work in accordance with specifications, drawings, and method statements, and properly brief operatives and other parties on their tasks
  • Health and Safety: Implement and enforce the Company's policies on Health & Safety and Quality Management on the Project
  • Logistics Management: Coordinate deliveries, disposal, and storage of plant and materials on site in conjunction with DBR Head Office Logistics Manager
  • Environmental Management: Daily environmental management of the project in accordance with Company Environmental Policy and project-specific environmental requirements
  • Project Coordination: Assist in formulating overall project programmes, formulate and implement target programmes for site teams, and coordinate and control activities of Subcontractors and Suppliers on the projects

Requirements:

  • A strong educational background in construction management, building conservation, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
  • A clean current driving license and willingness to travel
