About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Capacity Planning Manager to join our Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) team in the EU Middle Mile. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving customer experience by influencing development, planning, and execution of production planning cycles to ensure robust and cost-optimal labor plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop short- and medium-term operational capacity plans to optimize cost and service associated with staffing
  • Analyze planning gaps and deviations, and translate them into actionable items to improve future plans
  • Interact with business teams to validate and challenge inputs using a data-driven approach
  • Focus on controllership, driving continuous improvement and standardization of processes, including implementation of planning best practices and automation initiatives
  • Communicate complex analysis and insights to senior leadership to influence tactical and strategic business decisions
  • Work with various data sources, identify incomplete or inaccurate data, and escalate discrepancies for resolution
  • Analyze and solve business problems related to data deviations, and implement processes to ensure high standards
  • Participate in global operational and production planning initiatives to identify and adjust to growing business needs
A Day in the Life

You will be part of a team driving major projects to standardize our processes and make improvements to our operations. You will be in regular contact with senior management and stakeholders to define project requirements and update them on status, risks, and impacts.

You will create communication plans to bring everyone up to speed with new processes and implement solutions to spot problems, see gaps and inefficiencies, and create solutions.

Requirements
  • A degree in business, supply chain, transportation, economics, or a technical field
  • Relevant experience working in a supply chain, transportation, project management, or management consulting role
  • Relevant experience in project management or management consulting, including handling multiple ongoing projects
  • Relevant experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis
  • Relevant experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in process improvement
  • Operational background
  • Understanding of SQL
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QuickSight
