About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Capacity Planning Manager to join our Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) team in the EU Middle Mile. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving customer experience by influencing development, planning, and execution of production planning cycles to ensure robust and cost-optimal labor plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement short- and medium-term operational capacity plans to optimize cost and service associated with staffing.
  • Analyze planning gaps and deviations, and translate them into actionable items to improve future plans.
  • Interact with business teams to validate and challenge inputs using a data-driven approach.
  • Focus on controllership, driving continuous improvement and standardization of processes, including implementation of planning best practices and automation initiatives.
  • Communicate complex analysis and insights to senior leadership to influence tactical and strategic business decisions.
  • Work with various data sources, identify incomplete or inaccurate data, and escalate discrepancies for resolution.
  • Participate in global operational and production planning initiatives to identify and adjust to growing business needs.

We use air, sea, and road transport, as well as sortation centers equipped with the latest technology, to ensure our transport runs at maximum efficiency. Our team captures data and uses it to drive decisions, making Amazon more innovative and efficient.

We prioritize safety and use the expertise of our people to get packages to their destination quickly, conveniently, and sustainably.

Requirements
  • A degree in business, supply chain, transportation, economics, or a technical field.
  • Relevant experience working in a supply chain, transportation, project management, or management consulting role.
  • Relevant experience in project management or management consulting, including handling multiple ongoing projects.
  • Relevant experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
  • Relevant experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in process improvement.
  • Operational background.
  • Understanding of SQL.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QuickSight.
