About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Capacity Planning Manager to join our Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) team in the EU Middle Mile transportation network. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting Network Capacity Management (NCM) in capacity planning functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement short- and medium-term operational capacity plans to optimize cost and service associated with staffing.
  • Analyze planning gaps and deviations, and translate them into actionable items to improve future plans.
  • Interact with business teams to validate and challenge inputs using a data-driven approach.
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization of processes, including implementation of planning best practices and automation initiatives.
  • Communicate complex analysis and insights to senior leadership to influence business decisions.
  • Work with various data sources to identify incomplete or inaccurate data, and partner on resolution and execution of fixes.
  • Participate in global operational and production planning initiatives to identify and adjust to growing business needs.
A Day in the Life

As a Capacity Planning Manager, you will focus on improving efficiency, increasing reliability, and driving major projects to standardize processes and make improvements to our operations. You will be in regular contact with senior management and stakeholders to define project requirements and update them on status, risks, and impacts.

Requirements
  • A degree in business, supply chain, transportation, economics, or a technical field.
  • Relevant experience working in a supply chain, transportation, project management, or management consulting role.
  • Relevant experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
  • Relevant experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in process improvement.
  • Operational background.
  • Understanding of SQL.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QuickSight.
