Director of Clinical Operations

Join Barrington James as we seek an experienced Director of Clinical Operations to lead our team in the UK. This is a 12-month contract opportunity that offers a unique chance to make a significant impact in the biotech industry.
About the Role:We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to manage cross-functional teams, oversee project portfolios, and provide strategic direction to senior executive committees. As a Director of Clinical Operations, you will be responsible for:
- Managing global studies and projects, including vendor assessments and associated study risks.
- Developing systems and procedures for effective project management and clinical operations.
- Providing training and mentoring to team members, including supervising and motivating as an active part of the leadership group.
- Forming and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders and members of study steering committees/scientific advisory boards.
- Serving as a subject matter expert in quality audits and regulatory inspections.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 8+ years of experience in clinical research, with 5+ years in project management.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Proven experience in managing global studies and projects, including vendor assessments and associated study risks.
