About the Job

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom. As a key member of the Hitachi Energy UK Limited team, you will lead the cross-functional HVDC Control & Protection team, collaborating with global management to align on strategic and operational plans.

Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead a team of engineers within the HVDC engineering team.
  2. Provide direction to the teams with technology, focus on safety, on-time delivery, quality, and margin improvement.
  3. Collaborate with local and global management to ensure alignment on strategic and operational plans.
  4. Manage the overall Hardware & IT/OT Management team within HVDC Engineering, driving continuous improvements and identifying efficiency gains.
  5. Adapt and implement HVDC Control & Protection strategic initiatives to fit your team's needs, achieving business alignment.
  6. Plan team and area composition, individual development, and competences needed to meet business requirements, aligned with internal stakeholders and customers.
  7. Ensure quality output by developing and documenting work processes and monitoring adherence within HVDC Control & Protection Hardware & IT/OT teams.

The estimated salary for this role is £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This figure is based on industry standards and takes into account the location and required skills.
