About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HVDC Engineering Manager to join our team at SSE Enterprise. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving technical governance and building engineering resilience across our projects.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in design/engineering management of large capital infrastructure projects, with excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. You will be proficient in understanding complex technical issues and translating them into clear statements to inform decision-making by senior management.

In this role, you will manage a multidisciplinary engineering team, ensuring the requisite technical support and guidance is provided to the project team. Your responsibilities will include safe working practices, project engineering, team leadership, and quality assurance.

To be considered for this role, you must have a degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (preferably CEng) and excellent knowledge of electricity networks and industry regulations, such as CDM and ESQC.
