We are seeking an experienced HR Director to join our team in the UK and Ireland, with functional responsibility over the Life Sciences P&L in Europe.
Your Role
- You will partner with functional/organizational leaders in designing and delivering the people strategy to support the business strategy and achieve the organization's goals.
- As a trusted business partner, you will work closely with line managers on all HR matters, providing leadership coaching and employee advocacy.
- You will be responsible for HR operations, driving simple, compliant, and leading-edge HR processes in collaboration with our Centers of Expertise.
- You will anticipate the need for automation and simplification, ensuring the HR agenda meets both business and customer needs.
- You will lead HR operating rhythms in Portugal and across the region as necessary.
- You will manage all HR operational tasks and payroll via available resources.
- You will be a Talent Champion, attracting, developing, engaging, and retaining talent across the geography.
- You will create and execute robust staffing plans, pipeline development, succession planning, and employee development initiatives.
- You will consult with client organization's management in aligning performance management and reward recommendations.
- You will work on global projects, advancing and optimizing the HR team's ways of working.
- You will ensure compliance with labor regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced organization.
- Strong knowledge of UK and Ireland employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience in payroll administration.
- Proficiency in SAP or other HR systems.
- Experience working and communicating effectively in a global environment.
- Prior experience leading employee bases through change.
- Prior experience leading all HR operating rhythms such as performance management, organization design, salary planning, creating plans based on opinion surveys, and employee relations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can work effectively at all levels.
- Driven, responsive, enthusiastic, and confident.
- Approachable, reliable, and able to work under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary of £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
