Senior HR Leader for UK/I Region

Job Summary
Oliver Wyman is a global management consulting firm seeking an experienced Senior HR Leader to join our UK/Ireland region as the Director of Human Capital Operations. This is a unique opportunity to oversee all HC Operations activities across our offices in the UK and Ireland, shaping our HR strategies and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide thought leadership on HC Operations needs and strategies, collaborating with UK/I leadership and global stakeholders to develop and implement initiatives.
- Oversee the smooth and efficient delivery of key HC operational responsibilities, including employee relations, payroll, benefits, onboarding, and exit processes.
- Partner with the Executive Director of Talent to coordinate talent programs and services, ensuring alignment with global HC Operations strategy.
- Manage relationships with HC subfunctions to execute key HC strategic priorities.
- Act as a strategic partner to the business on HC operational matters, resolving complex employee relation issues and assessing risks.
- Set and manage the HC Operations budget, ensuring cost control and alignment with business growth.
- Drive risk management for all HC operational matters and lead employee relations initiatives.
- Advise and guide leadership on employee relation matters, ensuring compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement employee relations strategies to foster positive employee relations and maintain a harmonious work environment.
- Drive effective employee communication and engagement initiatives.
- Identify training and development needs and coordinate relevant programs to enhance employee understanding.
- Stay updated on labour laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to employee relations.
- Collect and analyze employee data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in employee relations.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of human resources generalist experience across the UK/I region, preferably in a management consulting, professional services, or financial services environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK/I employment law is essential.
- Proven leadership and management experience is essential, including leading projects and teams.
- Solid understanding of human resources operational activities, including benefits, payroll, taxes, and employment law.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with WorkDay is a plus.
- A Master's in HR and/or CIPD qualification is required.
