About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet by carrying out comprehensive maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across a variety of vehicle types, utilizing your expertise in safety practices and techniques.
- Proficiently operate diagnostic equipment and software to interpret data and make informed repair decisions.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Maintain meticulous records of all repairs and maintenance activities, adhering to strict quality and safety standards.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- IMI Level 3 Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical/electrical maintenance and repair procedures, supported by relevant training or certifications (BTEC/HNC, City & Guilds).
- Valid driving licence with C1/D1 categories, demonstrating significant experience driving vehicles larger than a family saloon car.
- Proven ability to interpret complex information and make sound analytical decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to troubleshoot intricate vehicle issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective teamwork and collaboration.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
- Affiliation with IRTE or IMI.
- IMI Level 3 Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Training or equivalent qualification.
- IMI Level 3 Diploma in Auto Electrical and Mobile Electrical Competence Auto Electrician or equivalent qualification.
