About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join our team at East of England Ambulance Service. As a key member of our Workshop Services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair faults in vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within the required timeframes.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and servicing on vehicles, including MOT inspections and repairs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of the workshop and meet customer needs.
  • Participate in a rota for 24-hour service and repair callouts, including working outside of normal hours and in varying weather conditions.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of technical knowledge and skills, staying up-to-date with the latest diagnostic techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • IMI Level 3 Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
  • Driving Licence with C1/D1 categories and significant experience of driving vehicles larger than a family saloon car.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of safety practices and techniques in motor vehicle repair.
  • Proficiency in the use of diagnostic equipment and software, with the ability to interpret diagnostic data and make informed repair decisions.
