Pastoral Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Worker to join our Education Support Team. As a Pastoral Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support to students with SEMH and SEN, assisting them in managing their behavior and emotional challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement behavior management strategies that promote positive behavior and engagement.
  • Engage with students in various settings, supporting their social and emotional development.
  • Help create a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere that allows all students to thrive.

Character Specification:

  • Essential experience in SEMH, SEN, or behavior management.
  • A strong desire to make a difference in the lives of young people from diverse backgrounds with a range of needs.
  • Background experience in children's homes, alternative education provisions, or similar environments is highly desirable.
  • Graduates in Psychology, Education, Health and Social Care, or related fields (2.1 or higher) are encouraged to apply.
