About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at NL Group Limited. The successful candidate will provide vital care and support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges in residential settings and within the community.

Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide direct support to individuals with mental health conditions, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Build trusting relationships with clients, offering emotional support and encouragement.
  • Support clients in developing coping strategies, life skills, and accessing community resources.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Monitor and document client progress, reporting any concerns to senior staff or healthcare professionals.
  • Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all clients.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have previous experience in a mental health support role for at least 6 months.
  • Hold relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care or Mental Health (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3).
  • Be compassionate, patient, and empathetic with a strong commitment to supporting individuals with mental health needs.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
  • Be able to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with sensitivity.
  • Have a proactive and positive approach to supporting service users.
  • Hold a valid UK driving license and have access to a vehicle.
