We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our team at Octavius Infrastructure on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract.

As a leading civil engineering organisation, we deliver safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a professional service to effectively manage the administration associated with the employee life cycle and related people systems, processes, and activities.
  • Proactively work to improve the performance of our People systems, support colleagues with queries, and ensure all processes are GDPR compliant.
  • Manage absence, onboarding, and offboarding, and provide management information for process improvements.

You'll work with:

A highly motivated and dedicated team of People professionals, collaborating to support projects and initiatives across various frameworks.

About you:

You'll bring excellent organisational and communication skills, working efficiently under pressure and ensuring accuracy in all aspects of your role.

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in an HR Advisor role, with strong knowledge of HR processes and systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience managing the employee lifecycle, including absence management, probation reviews, and maintaining employee records.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
