Community Paediatric Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatrician to join our Community Paediatric team in North Cumbria. As a Community Paediatric Specialist, you will be responsible for providing specialist paediatric services to children and young people in Cumbria, working closely with colleagues in the NCIC Community Children's Services, Primary Care, and Cumbria County Council Children's Services.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage children with developmental difficulties and disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Provide health assessments for children looked after, children being adopted, and children being assessed for an Education, Health and Care Plan.
- Work collaboratively with the Multi-Agency Assessment Team (MAAT) to assess children with possible ASD.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans to support children and young people with complex needs.
- Contribute to the development of the Community Paediatric service, including service planning and quality improvement initiatives.
- MB or equivalent qualification.
- MRPCH or equivalent qualification.
- Full registration with the GMC.
- Experience of Paediatrics, with a special interest in Community Child Health.
- Ability to assess children and young people for ASD and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Competent in health assessment of children looked after and children being adopted.
- Ability to work well as a team member and lead audit projects to implement change.
