Community Paediatrician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatrician to join our Community Paediatrics team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a Community Paediatrician, you will play a vital role in providing specialist paediatric services to children and young people in Cumbria, working closely with colleagues in the Child Development Centre, health centres, and children's centres.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage children with developmental difficulties and disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Provide health assessments for children looked after, children being adopted, and children being assessed for an Education, Health and Care Plan.
- Work collaboratively with the Multi-Agency Assessment Team (MAAT) to assess children with possible ASD.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans to support children and young people with complex needs.
- Contribute to the development of the Community Paediatrics service, including service planning and quality improvement initiatives.
- MB or equivalent qualification.
- MRPCH or equivalent qualification.
- Full registration with the GMC.
- Experience of Paediatrics, with a special interest in Community Child Health.
- Ability to assess children and young people for ASD and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
