About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at the Kent Autistic Trust. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to adults with autism, enabling them to live fulfilling and independent lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered care and support to individuals with autism, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring that the needs and preferences of service users are met.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in autism care and support.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure that service users receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A passion for working with adults with autism and a commitment to providing high-quality care and support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances, prioritizing the needs of service users.
  • Basic knowledge of autism and its impact on individuals and families, with a willingness to learn and develop your skills and knowledge.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
