About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at the Kent Autistic Trust. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with autism, ensuring their independence and inclusion within their communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered care and support to individuals with autism, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, their families, and carers, ensuring their needs and preferences are respected and met.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver tailored support plans, addressing the unique needs and goals of each individual.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized support plans, ensuring they are person-centered and focused on promoting independence and inclusion.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in autism support and care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A passion for working with individuals with autism and a commitment to providing high-quality care and support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals, families, and carers.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a focus on delivering person-centered care and support.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Basic knowledge of autism and its impact on individuals and their families.
