Our Defence Business Unit is currently recruiting a sales professional with experience in developing and selling sensor processing and autonomous control solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and execute sales growth strategies through direct and partner sales campaigns.
  • Identify, build, and effectively manage new and existing key clients to maximise revenue and customer value.
  • Align sales and internal innovation roadmaps to customer priorities.
  • Manage direct and partner sales, bids, and quotes in line with company governance processes.
  • Manage client and partner requirements and expectations.
  • Sell Roke's services effectively, ensure successful bids, and resolve customer issues.
  • Lead bids and engineering pre-sales teams to generate winning proposals.
  • Achieve and exceed allocated order targets and revenue targets.
  • Accurately manage the sales pipeline, forecast, and budget.
  • Provide market intelligence to support the Roke CRM ecosystem.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the Futures Business Unit strategy.

Requirements

Experience and Skills

  • Demonstrable experience in direct sales of research and development activities, technical solutions, and services in the Defence Market.
  • Experience with solution selling methodologies.
  • Expertise in developing new client relationships and supporting them with account development strategies and plans.
  • An understanding of Autonomy, machine vision, AI/ML, data science, and sensing technology.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a well-rounded knowledge of direct and partner sales strategy.
  • Ability to quickly understand business and market challenges from the client's perspective and provide innovative solutions.
  • Proven ability to quickly and effectively qualify opportunities and convert them to orders.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and negotiating skills.

Security Clearance

Due to the nature of this position, you must be eligible to achieve SC clearance.
