Job Title: Young Person's Wellbeing Practitioner

At Catch22, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Young Person's Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build trusting relationships with young people aged 16-25, providing a safe and supportive environment for them to discuss their concerns and challenges.
  • Apply non-formalized therapeutic techniques from various therapeutic backgrounds to cater to the diverse needs of our young people.
  • Identify and refer young people with complex mental health needs to relevant agencies, ensuring they receive the necessary support and care.
  • Support young people in accessing a wide range of in-house and local services, promoting holistic well-being and empowerment.
  • Collaborate with local services via community orientation and outreach work, fostering strong partnerships and ensuring seamless support for our young people.

Requirements:

  • NVQ level 2 in a relevant field or a degree in a social studies subject, preferably in sociology, social administration, psychology, teaching, or youth work.
  • Experience in working with young people in youth-based or support settings.
  • Proven ability to provide one-to-one support and guidance to young people.
  • Knowledge of good practice in emotional well-being and mental health, with an understanding of the key issues affecting young people aged 16-25.
  • Ability to work effectively with staff from various agencies, including Youth Services, Social Care, Substance Misuse, and the NHS.
