Young Persons Recovery Coordinator Specialist

The RoleThis challenging yet rewarding role involves working with numerous agencies to provide vital support to young people and adults in your community. As a Young Persons Recovery Coordinator Specialist, you will develop personalized support packages based on individual circumstances, often working in diverse settings. Your caseload will be substantial, but you will not compromise on quality. This role requires adaptability, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage with young people and adults effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Support a large caseload of young people and adults, undertaking assessments and developing recovery plans.
- Deliver evidence-based substance use interventions in groups and one-to-one settings, both face-to-face and via telephone or video technology when necessary.
- Pursue multi-agency working, collaborating with partner agencies like Youth Offending Teams, Schools, Police, Children's Homes, and Social Services.
- Operate an outreach approach, visiting schools and colleges across North Tyneside to provide presentations and engage with young people where needed.
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- A strong background in working with young people and adults with substance use issues or similar environments.
- Experience in coordinating care plans and assessments, as well as knowledge of substance use issues.
- A relevant qualification and a full UK driving license, which is an essential requirement due to the outreach nature of the role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a strong work ethic and ability to think on your feet.

- An estimated salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
