Main Purpose and Scope of the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources People Partner to join our team at Stop Domestic Abuse. The successful candidate will provide expert support to our Head of People, ensuring the delivery of consistent and reliable Human Resources services across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a strategic partner to our managers, providing guidance on employee relations issues and supporting the resolution of conflicts.
  • Monitor and analyze trends and themes across the organization, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance our HR practices.
  • Play a key role in the employee lifecycle, from recruitment to retention, ensuring that our people are supported and empowered to succeed.
  • Provide coaching and support to line managers on all aspects of employee relations, including probation, performance management, and capability processes.
  • Act as a key point of contact for staff and managers, providing guidance and support through employee relation processes and seeking early resolutions and restorative conversations.
  • Lead on formal employee relation case work, including grievances, suspensions, investigations, and presenting at hearings.
  • Monitor and report on sickness and absence levels, advising line managers on strategies to reduce absenteeism and ensure a consistent approach.
  • Oversee all Stage 1, 2, and 3 absence meetings and OH reports, ensuring that our processes are fair and effective.
  • Contribute to organizational change developments, ensuring that our policies and procedures are up-to-date and compliant with employment law.
  • Assist with organizational restructures and TUPE regulations, ensuring a smooth transition for our employees and stakeholders.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in Human Resources, with a focus on employee relations and operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement solutions to complex HR issues.
  • Knowledge of employment law and best practices, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical and effective way.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
