Reception and Patient Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Reception and Patient Coordinator to join our team at Woodlands Medical Practice.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, managing front desk operations, and ensuring seamless communication between patients, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and manage all patients and visitors in a polite and courteous manner, maintaining a smooth flow of patients through the practice.
- Making appointments for doctors, nurses, and other health professionals onto the EMIS system, ensuring accurate timeslots and efficient scheduling.
- Answering incoming telephone calls professionally, resolving queries, and entering messages into electronic medical records as required.
- Taking accurate messages for all surgery staff, ensuring timely passage of information according to protocol.
- Rescheduling clinics, chasing results, and communicating with patients as requested by doctors.
- Providing basic IT support, scanning paper correspondence, and processing patient data accurately.
- Maintaining waiting areas, ensuring patients are sent to their appointments efficiently and on time.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, essential for interacting with diverse patients and healthcare professionals.
- Able to work independently, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines and maintain high standards.
- Familiarity with EMIS and basic IT skills, preferably experience working in a GP practice or similar setting.
- A competitive salary of £22,000 - £25,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
