About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Station Technician to join our team at Hartlepool Lifeboat Station. As a key member of our station team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our lifeboats and equipment, as well as providing technical support to our volunteer crew members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the maintenance and repair of our lifeboats and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order at all times.
  • Provide technical support to our volunteer crew members, including training and guidance on the operation and maintenance of our lifeboats and equipment.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality, safety, health, and environment policies and procedures within the station.
  • Contribute to the overall management of the station, including the coordination of station activities and the provision of technical advice to the station manager.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience and qualifications in marine engineering or a related field.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of volunteers.
  • Excellent technical skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with volunteers, staff, and external stakeholders.
