About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Wireless Network Architect to lead our neutral host network engineering efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing next-generation neutral host networks for the US wireless market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the neutral host network technology roadmap with wireless carriers and OEMs, leveraging technologies such as DAS/DRAN, MOCN, MORAN, and ORAN
  • Engage with wireless carriers at national, regional, and market level leadership to gain approval for technology solutions and deployment processes
  • Develop reference architectures and design standards to address specific verticals in support of Boldyn's business models
  • Work with OEMs and wireless carriers to obtain lab approvals and support FOAs
  • Manage internal Boldyn stakeholders, including Business Development, Operations, Marketing, Legal, and Finance
  • Manage a team of engineers, contractors, and 3rd party labs
  • Drive OEMs to achieve interoperability and support for shared RAN
  • Drive DAS OEMs and wireless carriers to evolve DAS solutions to optimize cost, space, and power requirements

Requirements

  • Relevant major wireless carrier experience, e.g. RAN engineering, roaming, performance management, network operations
  • Expert knowledge of LTE and 5G NR RAN protocols, including ORAN, MOCN, MORAN, and roaming
  • Understanding of E911/CALEA requirements and specifications
  • Experience with lab planning, management, and testing
  • Executive level engagement experience with major wireless carriers
  • Team leadership and cross-functional leadership experience
  • 15+ years wireless industry experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • MSEEE/MSCE preferred
  • Major RAN and/or DAS OEM experience required
  • Previous RF design experience, including coverage, capacity, indoor and outdoor propagation tools, e.g. iBwave and Planet, required
  • Previous experience in network performance monitoring, management, and optimization, including subscriber Quality of Experience monitoring
  • Microsoft Office software suite skills
