Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Women's Engagement Specialist to join our team at Greater Manchester Mental Health. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in working with women and women's support agencies to identify and reduce barriers for women accessing drug and alcohol treatment.
Main Responsibilities
As a Women's Engagement Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing strategies to engage with women and women's support agencies to improve access to treatment services.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and providing recovery coordination for a cohort of female service users.
- Liaising with stakeholders and community partners to provide support and guidance to women and their families.
- Working closely with our team to develop and implement effective treatment plans that meet the unique needs of women.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience of working as a Recovery Coordinator or in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with women and women's support agencies.
- A positive regard for substance misusers and an understanding of the importance of working in partnership with them and other services to encourage independence.
- Knowledge of the recovery agenda and the ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills with service users, their families, and significant others.
