Women's Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Women's Engagement Worker to join our team at Greater Manchester Mental Health. This is an exciting opportunity to work with women and women's support agencies to identify and reduce barriers for women accessing drug and alcohol treatment.
Main Duties- Develop and implement effective strategies to engage with women and women's support agencies
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide introduction to the service for female service users
- Liaise with stakeholders to provide recovery coordination for a cohort of female service users
- Work with vulnerable women or working in women-specific services
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills with service users, their families, significant others, members of the public and professionals

Person Specification- Experience of working as a Recovery Coordinator
- Experience of working within community substance misuse services
- Positive regard for substance misusers and understanding of the importance of working in partnership with them and other services to encourage independence
