Occupational Therapist in Neurological Rehabilitation

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team at STEPS Rehabilitation. Our goal is to provide high-quality holistic therapy to our clients with spinal injuries and complex trauma.
As a Specialist Spinal Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist, you will have access to the latest rehabilitation technologies and training to enable an innovative approach to client care.
The role involves providing specialist OT assessment and intervention to clients within our clinical area, assessing and addressing occupational performance in self-care, leisure, and productivity, and carrying out community visits to support clients' goals and transition from our facility.
You will also be responsible for identifying specialist equipment needs and resources, initiating and leading on service development projects, and adhering to clinical governance requirements and the Royal College of OT code of ethics.

To succeed in this role, you should have comprehensive post-registration experience, including experience at specialist/senior level treating spinal injuries, highly skilled in managing a complex neurological caseload, and knowledge of current evidence-based OT practice and research in spinal injuries and complex trauma.
The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, ability to deal with difficult situations appropriately, excellent communication and listening skills, and adaptability and flexibility. You will also need a full UK driving licence and willingness to drive as part of the role.
