Specialist ASD Support Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist ASD Support Assistant to join our team at Empowering Learning. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a supportive and inclusive environment.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide one-to-one support and facilitate group learning activities for pupils with ASD, promoting their social, emotional, and educational development. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure that each child receives tailored support and reaches their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with ASD in their daily routines, including personal care and managing challenging behaviors.
- Develop and implement personalized learning plans in collaboration with teachers and other professionals.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to share progress and concerns.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with ASD or similar conditions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Valid DBS registration or willingness to apply.
