About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Patient Experience and PALS Project Supervisor to lead our Patient Advice Liaison Service (PALS) team. As a key member of the Patient Experience and PALS Team, you will be responsible for promoting and coordinating the organisation's PALS service, ensuring that patients, carers, relatives, and staff across all divisions have access to timely and effective support.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the work carried out by the Patient Advice Liaison Service (PALS) within the NHS and sound knowledge of the NHS Complaints process. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, carers, relatives, and staff across all divisions of the trust.

Salary: £42,000 - £51,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

The main duties of this role include:

  • Seeking to take action in line with Trust Policy to achieve early, local resolution of concerns raised.
  • Providing on-the-spot help and negotiating immediate solutions and speedy resolutions of problems.
  • Supervising the Patient Experience and PALS Advisors as appropriate.
  • Assisting in developing an Educational Programme focusing on Patient Experience and PALS service.
  • To promote the Patient Experience and PALS Team across the organisation, ensuring all divisions have knowledge of the functions of PALS and how the team can support and assist patients.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative experience, including written and verbal communication skills, organisational skills, and excellent computer literacy. Knowledge of the NHS Complaints process, equality and diversity, and dealing with challenging situations are essential.
