We are recruiting an experienced Home Oxygen Therapy Specialist to join our team at Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will work in regular and flexible shifts, providing care and support to patients who require home oxygen therapy. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and experience as a specialist in this field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform capillary blood gas analysis in clinic and patient homes, interpreting results to initiate, titrate, or remove home oxygen therapy.
  • Communicate the rationale for home oxygen therapy to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Offer support, advice, and liaison with healthcare professionals regarding patient care.
  • Ensure clinical assessments, planning, and evaluation of care comply with clinical standards.
  • Provide education to patients, families, and carers about illness, oxygen use, and self-management.
