Key Responsibilities

The Payroll and Benefits Support Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing payroll operations and benefit support activities. This role ensures that all aspects of payroll processing are conducted accurately and efficiently, in line with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Compile and upload monthly payroll bulk files, including hours worked, absences, bonuses, etc.
  • Employee Support: Serve as the first point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • System Configuration: Identify and collaborate with payroll analyst to resolve system configuration errors across various platforms.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with HMRC and DWP requirements, including the processing of relevant letters and payments.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Reset passwords for payslip access, file and maintain payroll reports, and assist in the annual preparation of P11Ds and PSAs.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in payroll processing and benefit support roles.
  • Familiarity with payroll software and HR information systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of UK payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
