Clinical Psychologist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard CMHTs.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong clinical skills, experience of working with complex mental health needs, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will have a doctoral level qualification in Clinical Psychology, be eligible for BPS CPsychol and HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The salary for this position is £53,755 to £60,504 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a permanent contract with full-time or part-time hours available.

About the Role:

  • To provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention for people with complex mental health needs.
  • To work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing consultation, teaching, and supervision roles.
  • To contribute to service development, redesign, and improvements in secondary mental health services.

Key Requirements:

  • Doctoral level qualification in Clinical Psychology.
  • Eligibility for BPS CPsychol and HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of working with complex mental health needs.
