Senior Mortuary and Bereavement Service Leader

We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead our Mortuary and Bereavement Service in Hull, as a Mortuary Manager. This role is responsible for the professional leadership, development, and maintenance of an efficient and effective Mortuary service.
The Mortuary Manager will operate on behalf of the Pathology Network Group, working with other managers to develop strategic and operational pathways for the service. They will oversee a wide range of technical/scientific duties to aid pathologists/clinicians in establishing a cause of death.
This is an interesting and varied role, with responsibility for the line management and supervision of site-based Mortuary and Bereavement Service. The post holder will provide strong leadership to all staff, and budget and financial management within defined budget allocation.

- Develop and implement strategic and operational pathways for the Mortuary service
- Oversee technical/scientific duties to aid pathologists/clinicians in establishing a cause of death

- Act as a professional role model, engaging all staff in trust values and maintaining patient/relative privacy, dignity, and respect at all times
