Anatomical Pathology Technologist Role at Great Ormond Street Hospital

Great Ormond Street Hospital Mortuary is seeking a dedicated Anatomical Pathology Technologist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working in a mortuary environment and possess a range of skills and expertise in this field. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others are essential for this role.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Participate in all mortuary procedures, administration, and post mortem assistance
  • Ensure accurate documentation and electronic records
  • Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and provide information when necessary
  • Admission, measuring, and registration of patients ensuring proper care
  • Receive and provide accurate information to service users
  • Assist with enquiries following Trust policy
  • Continuing professional development and maintaining personal CPD folder
  • Stay updated on mortuary and bereavement practices and guidelines
Requirements:
  • Certificate or Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology
  • GCSE in Maths, English, and Science
  • Experience in relevant inspections and post mortem examinations
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Competent computer skills
