Job Overview

Europlan Group is seeking a highly skilled Resident Mechanical Engineer to oversee the construction and maintenance of our Subsea Cable Factory Project in the Port of Nigg, Scotland.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a large-scale project, leading a team of engineers and ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

We are committed to providing a stimulating work environment that fosters growth and development. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in site supervision and project management, with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the specific engineering discipline.

Responsibilities
  • Construction Oversight: Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to verify the quality and integrity of construction work, identifying and addressing deviations or deficiencies as necessary.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of construction activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and as-built drawings, and communicate project status updates to stakeholders and management as required.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and guidance to construction teams, resolving engineering-related issues, interpreting design specifications, and facilitating the resolution of construction challenges.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, regulatory agencies, and community representatives, fostering positive relationships, and addressing concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, evaluating proposed modifications, assessing their impact on project objectives, and facilitating decision-making processes in collaboration with project stakeholders.

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
