We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infection Prevention and Control Auditor to join our team at Kings College Hospital. As a leading teaching trust, we are committed to delivering high-quality patient care and improving health outcomes.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in infection prevention and control, with experience in conducting audits and implementing quality improvement initiatives. You will work closely with our IPC team to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and care within our organization.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough audits of infection prevention and control practices across our hospital sites.
  2. Identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for quality improvement initiatives.
  3. Collaborate with our IPC team to implement audit findings and improve patient safety.
  4. Provide expert advice and guidance on infection prevention and control best practices.
  5. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  6. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and research in infection prevention and control.

Requirements:

  • First-level registered nurse with active registration or allied equivalent healthcare professional with active registration.
  • Post-registration experience in the health and/or social care sector.
  • Ability to conduct audits in relation to IPC.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of using several software packages including Excel, Microsoft, and PowerPoint.
