Job Overview

Kings College Hospital is seeking a skilled Infection Prevention and Control Specialist to join their team. As an Auditing Healthcare Expert, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Support the collection and analysis of data for national and local surveillance programs to monitor healthcare-associated infections and compliance with Infection Prevention and Control standards.
  2. Conduct audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement recommendations to enhance infection prevention practices.
  3. Develop and maintain audit schedules and records to ensure seamless operations.
  4. Collaborate with the Infection Prevention and Control Team to develop and implement policies and procedures to prevent and control infections.
  5. Provide training and education to staff on infection prevention best practices and protocols.
Requirements
  • A First-Level Registered Nurse or equivalent health care professional with active registration.
  • Degree-level education in a relevant subject or equivalent experience working at a similar level.
Skills and Competencies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with the team and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify areas for improvement and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
  • Experience with using software packages including Excel, Microsoft, and PowerPoint to facilitate documentation and information gathering.
