Clinical Infection Prevention Specialist

We are currently recruiting for a dynamic and enthusiastic IPC audit and surveillance nurse to join our Infection Prevention and Control Team. The successful candidate will be expected to work across all sites within Kings College NHS Trust as required by the Infection Prevention & Control/Surgical Site Infection Scheme audit and surveillance programmes.
Main Responsibilities- Support the systematic collection of data on the prevalence of healthcare-associated infections and compliance with Infection Prevention & Control standards, including Surgical Site Infection Surveillance programme and antibiotic stewardship.
- Participate in the implementation and maintenance of Infection Prevention & Control surveillance/prevalence and patient safety audits, including writing reports and presenting results to relevant stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting audits and have strong analytical and communication skills. They will also be able to demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
Salary: £35,964 - £43,780 per annum inc HCAS, dependent on experience. This is a permanent full-time position working 37.5 hours per week.
