Clinical Prevention Specialist

The Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Clinical Prevention Specialist to join their Infection Prevention and Control Team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic nurse to work on various sites within the trust, supporting the implementation and maintenance of infection prevention and control standards.
As a Clinical Prevention Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting audits, providing feedback, and developing reports to ensure compliance with national and local surveillance programs.
You will also contribute to the development of training materials and assist in organizing events such as hand hygiene week and IPC link programs.
We are looking for a professional with excellent communication skills and experience in using software packages like Excel, Microsoft, and PowerPoint.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct audits and provide feedback on infection control procedures
- Develop and implement audit schedules for IPC and validation audits
- Assist in the production of training materials
- Organize events such as hand hygiene week and IPC link programs
Requirements:
- First-level registered nurse with active registration or allied equivalent healthcare professional
- Post-registration experience in the health and/or social care sector
- Ability to conduct audits in relation to IPC
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with software packages like Excel, Microsoft, and PowerPoint
