Job Title: Infection Control Specialist

Location: East Anglia NHS trust

The successful candidate will work as an Infection Control Specialist, managing infections and giving advice to clinicians. This role involves answering calls from healthcare professionals, providing guidance on infection treatment, and attending ward rounds and handover sessions. The ideal candidate should have experience in Microbiology within the NHS and hold a specialist registration in Medical Microbiology and Virology and/or Infection Control. Core working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00 with occasional on-calls on a 1:6 rota.

Estimated Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum based on location and experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Answering calls from clinicians
  • Providing guidance on infection treatment
  • Managing blood culture cases
  • Attending ITU ward rounds and handover sessions
