Infection Prevention and Control Clinical Nurse Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with staff across the Trust to improve IPC practice and reduce hospital-acquired infections.
Main Duties of the Job

• Promote, facilitate, and help implement evidence-based practice -
• Audit and report on infection control-related interventions -
• Respond to the changing needs of recruitment and retention -
• Work on Trust-wide infection control practice development projects -
• Contribute to, and work with, the infection team and senior nursing staff in developing and implementing improved infection control practice -
• Contribute to Care Quality Commission and clinical governance monitoring of infection control educational activities as required
