Assistant General Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at JD Gyms as an Assistant General Manager. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in driving the commercial performance of our business and delivering operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the gym, ensuring a high level of customer service and a safe and enjoyable environment for our members.
  • Assume the responsibilities of the General Manager in their absence, ensuring seamless continuity of operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and improve commercial performance, working closely with the General Manager and other team members.
  • Lead and deliver operational excellence, ensuring that all aspects of the business are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching and guidance to help them achieve their goals.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a management position within a leisure-related industry, ideally with a background in fitness or hospitality.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Qualification to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor, with a passion for customer service and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
  • Experience in driving sales and marketing activity, with a track record of success in improving commercial performance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
