Main Purpose of the Role

As a key member of the Local Solutions team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality support and services to clients engaged in the AIMS Skills Programme. Your primary focus will be on providing individualized, flexible support to clients, while also facilitating group-based skills programme sessions.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized support plans for clients, taking into account their unique needs and goals.
  • Facilitate group-based skills programme sessions, promoting engagement and participation among clients.
  • Collect and record evidence of client progress, including sustained accommodation, individual progress, assessment completions, and other outcome target data.
  • Act as a coordinating presence for additional support provision and multi-agency input, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
  • Provide integrated support within sports and watersports settings, education, employment, or voluntary settings, promoting holistic development and growth.
  • Identify changing levels of need and tailor support accordingly, ensuring clients receive the most effective support possible.
  • Plan and deliver flexible and appropriate support into clients' accommodation, promoting sustained tenancies and successful outcomes.
  • Liaise with delivery partners, including accommodation providers, referrers, education, and employment providers, to ensure effective collaboration and coordination.
  • Build and maintain networks and relationships with essential and complementary services across the city, promoting a comprehensive support system.
  • Coordinate multi-agency responses to ensure wrap-around responses to meet the needs of service users.
  • Use information and insight from performance to inform priorities and determine interventions, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Participate in staff development reviews and supervision, ensuring ongoing professional growth and development.
  • Ensure Service User Participation and collaboration, empowering clients to take an active role in their support and development.
  • Deliver Strengths-based, person-centred, trauma-informed support to individuals and groups, promoting positive outcomes and well-being.
  • Work with the Head of Support & Safeguarding and AIMS Programme Coordinator to develop the service in innovative ways, delivering maximum benefit and impact.
  • Uphold and promote Local Solutions values, ensuring a culture of excellence, respect, and inclusivity.
  • Undertake any other tasks deemed necessary to support the delivery of the AIMS Skills Programme and Local Solutions' objectives.

Strategy Development and Review

Understand the services within the Local Solutions Business Plan, which will make life better for the people and places Local Solutions is here to support.

Developing Partnerships and Working with Others

Ensure that all contact with Local Solutions is professional, suitably hospitable, and efficient.

Planning and Delivering Programmes

With the Project Co-ordinator, maintain effective operation of processes, delivering and evaluating the impact of activities required for smooth service provision. Ensure Health & Safety policies and procedures are embedded throughout services and support, including place-based Health & Safety.

Meetings regularly take place to agree plans of work and review progress in meeting your roles and responsibilities. Where necessary, issues are reported upwards to ensure that action is planned and its implementation monitored. All members of the team are kept informed on relevant issues and consulted as appropriate.

  • Carry out any other duties appropriate to this post, as necessary or as requested.
  • Promote and represent Local Solutions at meetings and with other related organisations as appropriate.
  • Ensure that all activities within the area of responsibility comply with the Health and Safety Policy.
  • Implement Local Solutions Equality and Diversity policies and Strategies.
