About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Thanet Community Mental Health Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health care to patients in the eastern area of the town.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and treatment of mental health conditions under secondary mental health services.
  • Manage, appraise, and provide professional supervision to junior medical staff.
  • Participate in service and business planning activities for the locality and whole mental health.
  • Work with local managers and professional colleagues to ensure efficient running of services.
  • Undertake administrative duties associated with patient care.
  • Attend and participate in the academic program of the Trust, including lectures and seminars.

Requirements
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months.
  • Approved clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
  • Approved under S12 or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
