As a Senior MRI Diagnostic Radiographer, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our 3T MRI service, ensuring operational objectives and clinical standards are met. You'll work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to our patients.

The Role:

  • Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Follow HCPC standards of conduct, performance, and ethics.
  • Adhere to HCPC standards of proficiency.
  • Create a collaborative environment for diagnostic and radiotherapy staff.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain safe and effective working practices.
  • Ensure patients experience the highest levels of service.
  • Accurately record patient treatments and maintain accurate records.
  • Meet GenesisCare clinical audit, radiation protection, and quality assurance requirements.
  • Record compliments and incidents, escalating to the Lead MRI Radiographer as necessary.
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders, including patients, clinicians, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the growth and progress of MRI/cross-sectional imaging.
  • Lead by example, taking an active clinical role in patient pathways.
  • Proactively maintain CPD in accordance with GenesisCare and HCPC professional standards.
  • Ensure flexibility in out-of-hours working to resolve breakdowns or crises.

What You'll Have:

  • At least 2 years post-qualification experience with progressive development.
  • Experience in all aspects of MRI scanning to a high level of competence.
  • Evidence of empathetic and holistic patient care.
  • Good understanding of complaints processes.
  • Sound understanding of governance.
  • Experience of proactively evolving MRI techniques.
  • A wide range of clinical skills.
  • Evidence of collaborative working.
  • Effective organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Able to make judgments/decisions with the support of the Lead Radiographer.
  • Able to work flexibly to achieve GenesisCare business objectives.

Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • DCR (R) or BSc (Hons) in Radiography (or equivalent).
  • HCPC registration.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Good understanding of legislation relating to Ionising Radiation/Radiation Protection and Health & Safety.
  • Knowledge of current trends and developments in radiography equipment and techniques.
  • Awareness of UK Health Environment.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of medical terminology and drug/medication names/disease pathways encountered in radiography/CT/MRI/mammography.
