About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Radiographer to join our team at Oxford University. As a Radiographer, you will use advanced technology to help diagnose and monitor medical conditions, guiding crucial treatment decisions.
Main Responsibilities
Undertake a professional, high-quality imaging service to patients within a safe clinical environment.
Create images of patients with potential illnesses or serious life-threatening conditions.
Adapt techniques to achieve high-quality diagnostic imaging for patients with challenging conditions.
Advise clinicians on treatment options and limitations.
Work on a rotational basis through clinical areas, including treatment floors and pre-treatment areas.
Assess patient needs and plan care delivery.

Job Requirements
The post holder must be clinically competent to manipulate complex equipment safely and efficiently.
Support the team leader in managing the clinical workload.
Work on a rotational basis through clinical areas.
Use professional knowledge to support the safe operation of the working area.
Provide guidance and support to less experienced staff and students.
Ensure patient confidentiality and dignity are respected.
Accurately interpret complex treatment plans and prescriptions.
Review and evaluate verification images, recommending action to improve treatment accuracy.
Collect and collate department statistical data.
Ensure equipment is kept clean and dust-free.
Undertake patient assessments to evaluate their physical, mental, and social welfare.
Consult a senior radiographer regarding concerns relating to planning or treatment accuracy.
Provide support to patients regarding acute and chronic side effects of radiotherapy.
Problem solve technical issues relating to individual patient treatments.
Follow Standard Operational Procedures for treatment machine operation.
